Heirloom Georgetown, a 620-acre mixed-use development, received City Council approval on Aug. 26 to proceed, with groundbreaking planned for early 2026. The project by Columnar Investments includes:
- 340 acres of residential space (up to 3,600 units)
- 109 acres of commercial space (featuring Trader Joe’s)
- 48 acres of parkland
- 120 acres for a Georgetown ISD school site
The council approved the development agreement, planned unit development (PUD), annexation, and public improvement district (PID) financing. Columnar will build key roads and improve infrastructure. The city will provide water, wastewater, waste services, and fire/police protection. Next steps include finalizing PID agreements.
