16 states have expressed interest in hosting Stargate data centers.

The initiative is aimed at countering competition from China and other global rivals.
Government and Corporate Backing
In January, President Donald Trump announced the private sector investment initiative to accelerate AI infrastructure.
Stargate’s backers, including SoftBank and other equity investors, have committed $100 billion for immediate use, with further investment planned over four years
Job Creation and Infrastructure
Texas data centers are already under construction, as confirmed by Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison.
The project will develop AI-focused data centers and generate over 100,000 U.S. jobs.
